Some time has passed since the SCECBU and the members of the board of CONVEN (the Czech central bank trade union) had met.
The meeting held yesterday was the occasion to analyse the evolution of European central bank trade unionism and to exchange information on different points of view.
The discussions went on naturally towards the relations between trade unions and specially about the ESCB social dialogue and on the interest shown by non-Eurosystem central bank trade unions, as it is the case with COVEN, to participate in it.
Once again we can stress the importance of getting some transparency in what concerns the subjects that are discussed at the social dialogue level, most particularly in what concerns the HR Conference and the works of the Council Task Force.
In fact, if we consider that these meetings have a real impact on the activities and effectives of Eurosystem central banks, they will certainly have consequences on employment and activities of non-euro area central banks.
Therefore, it is absolutely primordial to have a common trade union policy for central bank trade unions in a whole.
